赵秀峰：1. Stable carbon isotope analysis revealed that distribution of particulate organic carbon (POC) in northern South China Sea (SCS) was not controlled by fluvial input of terrestrial POC. 2. Degradation of POC was more efficient in the basin site than the slope site. More export of carbonate was found in the slope site, resulting in a faster settling speed and less degradation of POC due to the ballast effect. 3. The partition coefficient of 234Th was significant different between the basin and the slope. The result reflected the discrepancy in the properties of particles and they may have different sources. 4. At the slope site, the fluxes of particulate matters were higher at depth than out of euphotic zone, indicating a signal of lateral transport.

The fractions of river water (fMW) and sea ice meltwater (fSIM) were estimated based on the three end−members mixing model. 2．River water derived from the Chukchi shelf and the East Siberia sea was calculated in the Canada basin. 3．The transit time of river water from the Chukchi and East Siberian shelf to the Canada Basin was estimated; 4．The benthic fluxes of 226Ra and 228Ra were estimated.
